A Modern Path into Embodied Living Prayer
You are faithful. You are held. You belong here.
Your body is sacred ground.
And you were always meant to come home.
The Art of Anointing
The oil is ready, your body is the temple
And you were never meant to carry this alone.
The Art of Anointing is a return and a remembrance.
To the body, to beauty and to prayer.
Some of the oldest wisdom your hands know.
For thousands of years, women carried oil, and they poured it over what was broken, what was beloved,
what needed to be made holy again.
They understood something we are only now remembering:
God meets us in the body.
Healing comes through the senses.
Beauty is not frivolous. It is formative.
This is a place to exhale. To create. To be held.
To come home to yourself and to God.
Welcome.
How It Began
There was a season when I forgot myself.
As a mother navigating one of the hardest chapters of my life, I poured everything I had into caring for my family and trying to save my adult son. My days became consumed with worry, prayer, vigilance, and survival. Somewhere along the way, I forgot that I was more than the caretaker. More than the crisis. More than the roles I carried.
At the time, I had been studying the ancient practice of anointing and how oil was used throughout scripture to consecrate what was sacred. One day, I reached for a bottle of olive oil I had imported from the Holy Land and placed a few drops in my hands.
As the fragrance rose, something within me softened.
I remembered that I was not only a mother. I was also a daughter of God. Beloved. Held. Worthy of care, too. That simple act became a doorway home.
Through scent, touch, beauty, and prayer, I began returning to myself and to the quiet knowing that God's presence had never left me.
What began as a personal ritual eventually became oils, prayers, art, teachings, and a living body of work devoted to a single remembrance:
You are not broken. You are also holy ground.
And you can always return.
"When someone you love is struggling and you can't fix it, it can consume your entire life. You don't have to live that way."

About Lucinda
Lucinda Rae is an artist and oil painter, poet, biblical mystic, perfumer, and founder of Anointed Rituals. She has spent years studying the ancient practice of anointing, translating its theology, history, and embodied wisdom into oils, art, and teachings for everyday life.
Her work is rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures, the sensory language of the Song of Songs, the devotion of Psalms, and a lifelong love of flowers, oils, and botanical allies. Raised in the lush countryside of the Pacific Northwest, she spent her childhood wandering fields, forests, and rivers, gathering plants and discovering the fingerprints of the Creator woven throughout the natural world. Some of her earliest experiences of wonder were found among mossy forests, winding rivers, and mountain wilderness, where she learned to listen for the sacred in creation itself.
She believes the body was never an obstacle to God, but a place of encounter. After years seeking the Divine through transcendence, she returned to the sacredness of embodiment, discovering that God is often found not beyond the body, but within it.
As an artist, she paints from the conviction that heaven is already pressing through the visible world and that beauty created with intention can open us to the presence of God. Her studio is a sanctuary. Her paintings are prayers. Through her Anointed Artist™ method, she teaches others to create from that same place of devotion and encounter.
As a perfumer, she creates biblically inspired botanical fragrances and anointing oils that bring this ancient practice into modern life. Each bottle is an invitation to remember what is holy.
She teaches what she has learned and lived: when women come home to their bodies, they come home to God.
"Take off your shoes, for the place where you are standing is holy ground."
